How to Write Directions That Other People Can Follow

Telling someone directions to a location can a bit difficult if you don’t have the facility of GPS and a map. When such digital equipment was not available, people used to tell directions using phrases like move 4 kms due north, then turn left and move 7 kms in that direction, and so on. People use to take the north star as a geographical reference to find the direction of the north. During traveling through the sea, people used to have a device called sextant that guided them through seaways. In the present era, we have GPS devices on our palmtops. All smartphones have GPS that use cellular networks to connect to the satellite that tracks the geolocation of a person and guides them directions to their destination. However, someone can also write directions for others to guide them to their destination. For that, they may use the old school method.
