Why We Should Encourage Students to Write About Themselves

More often than not, we think we clearly know who we are, but that's not the case. Ironically enough, we do not know much about ourselves. When someone asks us about ourselves, we usually find ourselves in a confused and hesitant state. As we grow, we evolve continuously. We meet people, come across different experiences and grow and evolve as a person. Given this is the age of Instagram and Snapchat, no wonder students can easily get into the habit of writing about themselves. Make it all about yourself. When you start to write about yourself, you tap into parts of yourself that you've never explored before. You get to know yourself and discover the hidden talents of your personality. Writing about yourself allows you to heal yourself with words together with improving your writing skills. Writing facilitates you to become more confident about your own self and put forth whatever you got. More than anything, it is a great way to vent out your emotions too. Do you want all that happen to you? If your answer is positive, then maybe you should also write about yourself.

Why Students Love to Write About Animals

It is scientifically proven that the power of imagination and creativity in a human being is at its peak during the first seven years of life. Children are usually very imaginative and creative. During that age, a human has an unconditional love for nature and other beings. They also tend to notice every tiny detail associated with nature. That is one of the major reasons why students love to write about animals. Students find writing about animals interesting because animals are the only creatures that are closest to humans. In fact, we humans are also called social animals. Besides that, animals have a unique pattern for their routine activities, and the most interesting part is, their routine activities would never deviate from that pattern. Perhaps that is what fascinates students about animals and compels them to write on them.

Tips for Encouraging Students to Write About Their Feelings

Students, especially during their early age, are not very expressive. Mostly we come across children who are too shy to express what they generally feel about life. Actually, they don’t even have a deep comprehension of life during that age, so of course, they are unable to express more about it. Many institutions practice certain exercises, especially with shy kids, to help them overcome their shyness and express their feelings more often. One common exercise to encourage students to write their feelings is to ask them to take out a piece of paper first thing in the morning when they enter their classroom and write on that paper whatever they are feeling. You can also ask students what they are feeling about their day or what made them smile today. A few such questions might help them open up and express their feelings in writing more often.

How Writing About What We Dislike Tells Us A lot about Who You Are

During an aptitude test, there is a very effective technique while solving questions for their best answers. You don’t search for the right answer and tick it; you start looking for the most irrelevant answers and discarding them. This way, you discard two or three options, and you are left with the final two or three. Choosing the best answer now becomes easy automatically because you only have to decide among only two or three options. This rule can also be applied in daily life if you are looking forward to knowing more about yourself. We all know that a person’s likes and dislikes can tell a lot about their personality and nature. Rather than going for the likes, one should start finding things that they dislike and write them down on a piece of paper. Not only will it take less time, but it will also tell a person what it is that’s not compatible with their nature and personality and will quickly tell them about who they are a person.

What are the Differences Between Emotion, Moods, and Feelings?

Emotions, moods, and feelings are terms associated with the field of psychology. For a layman, emotions, moods, and feelings might not be very different from one another. However, if we look at their technical aspect, we will find that all these terms have a major difference. Emotions are physiological and cognitive experiences for a person subjected to the variations in the external stimuli. A person might show different emotions under different circumstances. The mood can be explained as the behavior that is characterized by a certain thought. The mood of a person may vary timely. Feelings take time to develop for a particular individual or a natural phenomenon and are regarded as something associated with long-term events.

Encouraging Students to Write About Their Experiences

Let us face it; not everyone may find writing about their experiences a comforting task. For most, revisiting memories only keeps them on the edge and anxious. While you may enjoy writing your experiences, your students may not. However, if you find teaching quite a task because of some students, you may ask them to write about their experiences as icebreakers. Chances are it may help rejuvenate your bond with them in all the new ways possible. In all honesty, you cannot force your students to share their experiences all at once! Sure, you might find the process challenging, but your softness and calm attitude may only have your students comfortable sharing. So, ensure you are not going harsh at your students even when they don't seem to understand you. When you share your experiences with your students, you're giving them every reason to empathize with you. Not only that but also you may have your students share their experiences in return. Curtly put, sharing makes your students relate to you and keeps them motivated. If you do not act mature with your students, they may take you as just another teacher. In case you laugh at your students on the silliest occasions, you might want to put an end to it. So, while you are at empathizing with your students, ensure you are staying true to your words.

How a Person's Favorite Items Tells You a Lot About Them?

You must have heard about a famous saying, "A man is known by the company he keeps." However, there are other ways to learn more about a person as well. For instance, with the things he likes. A reliant person would have goals and ambitions to do something in life rather than waste time. It doesn't mean that he or she should be boring. For instance, if a person likes to travel a lot, they would work hard to afford to travel. That is how we can find out someone's personality. Another point to note is that people are also known for the opinions he or she keeps. For instance, if the opinion is a negative one, you eventually get bad vibes from them.

How Friendships Can Change Over Time

Friendship is one of the world’s specific relation that doesn’t connect by blood but soul. There is a famous concept in some regions of the world that there is no comparable level as blood relations in the world. But the fact is that we can put our heart, feelings, and emotions out only in front of our best friends that we never discuss with our family members or relative despite having a powerful bonding with them. In true friendship, there is no need a reason for staying in friend’s life forever. Most often, I have met most of people who are anxious for finding a good friend especially in new places. But they don’t know that there is an automatic trigger that build this relation. Many people come and go in our live but only those stay that are genuine not by mind but heart. You will always have friends that suits you, your sagacity, your soul, and your inner self. There is no value of your status, rank, and physical appearance in friendship. Whether there is a long and long distance between you and your friend, it will never fade unless you have a strong attachment with his/her soul. The memories you spent together are enough keep them alive in your life. You can always with them with a single but consistent prayer. In this way, a few strangers connected to your soul and your friendship converted into eternal love. A pure and pious friendship. Remember, if you don’t have such connection with anyone of your friend, he/she is not your actual friend.

How Our Perception of the Future Is Formed

Our perception of the future usually deals with the actions we take in the present. For instance, if you're hustling your way in your early 20s, you'd want just to become the boss in the late 30s. That is how the perception of the future is made. Of course, it also depends on person to person. For instance, a child who is merely ten dreams of becoming a pilot. That is a dream, and that is how he sees himself in the future. Another way to understand the concept is how we see the world around us. If we see chaos all around us, the perception becomes negative every day. That is how our minds work!

What Are Important Issues to Kids?

The issues that worry us as adults might not trouble the young minds. Similarly, the problems that are not that of a big deal for the adults might be massive for our little ones. Being a parent, teacher, or a guardian, you need to stay well-informed about all the problems the kids are facing. Many little ones avoid talking about their issues and do not start spilling out details until forced to do so. Here are some important issues that worry the young minds. The first on the list is, of course, bullying. It is prevalent across schools, regardless of where the institute is located. Starting from the primary, to secondary and from high school to college, students undergo bullying. It can negatively impact their mental health, as a result of which they might throw tantrums around and behave differently. Another issue that is very important for the kids is the relationship of their parents. Children of separated or divorced parents have to face social and mental difficulties. They become fearful of losing any one of their parents and have to undergo bullying by other kids. They begin to feel insecure when they hang out with other kids or see them leaving with both their parents. Other issues that make the kids fearful include domestic abuse, guns and violence, and natural disasters. It is important to talk to kids and discuss these issues with them to make sure that it does not affect a child’s confidence.

What is Compare and Contrast Writing

Out of the many writing styles, there is one that we know as the compare and contrast writing. An essay that uses this form of style examines multiples topics that maybe objects, people, or ideas. After choosing the different topics, the writer then compares their similarities and contrasts their differences. It is solely a writer’s choice because they want to focus entirely on comparing or contrasting, or on both-or, your instructor may direct you to do one or both. The usual steps in this writing type include picking the right subject, listing the characteristics, organizing ideas, and working on smooth transitions. This is how you can create a perfect compare and contrast writing piece.

How You Can Tell a Lot About a Person from the Things That They Like?

There are many aspects through which we can learn about a person. For instance, their music taste. Music is one aspect of every individual's life, which shows how smart they are. Of course, it depends on an individual's taste; but a person who understands himself will identify good music. Another way to find out about a person is the method most business owners use as well. Checking out people's social media accounts. The kind of social media handles or people he or she follows tells a lot about the person. In retrospect, this is unarguably the best way to learn about a person!

Tips for Writing Good Narratives

Good narratives help us in writing papers for college courses that must be excellent in structure. Writing narratives refers to the way of conveying the story to the reader. With these narratives, you can explain about the person, place, products that is significant you or relates to a specific incident which belongs to you. If you also improve your writing narrative skills, you must follow the tips as mentioned below: Create a story in chronological arrangement that make sense while reading the story. Any reading material that is confusing and there is lack of understanding people will never like to read that material. The flow of the writing order must be in the logical progression. Don’t forget to write a single point while writing an intuitive narrative paper by breaking a reading flow. You will have to highlight the process of making each point and its purpose of explanation in the story. Describe everything about all characters in the story such as their action, emotions, behavior, and relations with other characters. Also, represent places with detailed explanation that you are going to mention in your writing material. Your writing material with good narrative will become the best when you keep the fact of having quality better than quantity while writing anything especially for a communication purpose.

The purpose here is to encourage readers to accept a particular viewpoint in a specific way. Here are some ways you can write a persuasive essay: Give your topic a thorough search. The point of a persuasive argument or essay is to provide compelling and detailed evidence. Take a stance. What is it that you think about the problem? What side will you pick? Watch out for prejudices that you may have that could color the statement. And finally, what resolution do you have to offer? Think about the structure you wish to present. Common Tension Between Students and Their Parents

Taking care of your children's education is a difficult task. For instance, you have to nurture your children to love studying in their earlier days. You do not want them to slack off and continue with this attitude as they get older. Secondly, as they grow older, you have to monitor their study patterns to work hard enough as per the grade's requirement. However, irrespective of different measures taken by the parents, the tension between them continues. For example, students tend to lie about their grades if they happen to feel that their parents are too hard on them. Another prospect to ponder is that the students can't tell their parents about their favorite subjects. Again, the reason for this behavior is the excess of strictness between them and their parents. So, if you want children to excel in education, you have to keep a perfect balance between them. In other words, please do not be too hard on them that they start to lie about their grades or cheat their way to passing. It is also important that you're not too soft with them either, so that they take you easy, and it becomes too late to stop them.

What is Self-Respect?

Self-respect is a thing that kindest people usually ignore to please and take care of others. Respecting yourself is not a sign of selfishness but a reminder for those who take people for granted. There are multiple benefits of respecting yourself that are as follows. It builds self-confidence and maximizes real happiness. You will have the courage to say not and help in making boundaries. You start respecting your abilities, talents, the way of work. Don’t feel hesitant to accept harsh realities and lessons learned. Get motivation to be an independent person. You will have a sense of authority and power. You start practicing for self-care and self-love. No doubt, we make relationships and friends based on commitments and work hard to meet all. But it doesn’t mean that we dive deeper into pleasing them without expecting them in return. You must have to ensure what your place in your life and what they think about you. Observe, are you really special for you, or only they are everything for you? I am not telling to only think about yourself; respect them, put efforts as much as you can do them. Also, consider your stance in their lives. Ask yourself and find out are they trust you, blindly? Are they believe that anything you will act, talk, or do will always be positive, or there is some crucial reason behind that will never disrespect your relation?

How to Improve Your Imagination

Whether you dream of big or small things, every one of us wants to accomplish our goals. Getting promoted on your work, making time for your loved ones, or making it through that mathematics exam, or attaining something that you have aspired for years, all of it requires a fragment of your imagination. As Albert Einstein says, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” The truth is that you can be anyone or achieve anything as long as you let your imagination run free. Take the following steps to improve your imagination: 1. Realize what you are capable of. It is important to identify the potential that lies within you. 2. Gather your thoughts and locate them on one side of the brain. When your conscious mind stops working, try to tap into your subconscious mind. 3. Let go of your preconceived thoughts that you hold for yourself. Remember that you are a blank canvas and you have many colors to paint it. 4. Make up your mind and identify where to channel your energies. Visualize and think about what you want to be or what you want to do. 5. Notice what’s going around you. Pay careful attention to other people’s success and their approaches. The best is to talk less and notice more.

How to Manage Any Problem You Have

Problems are the best companions of human life that never leave people. But they come and go to teach us something bigger. Every problem comes with its own solution. Only we need to find out by having some patience and with stability. Also, you will have to take risks as a result, either you win, lose, or become wise by learning a lesson. There can be multiple ways by which we can solve our issues but you can’t do this in one go. Patience is necessary. Figure out the origin of the problem and observe the whole scenario with wisest tricks. Sometimes the reality is entirely opposite from the circumstances we see. Sometimes the root of certain issue is same as the situation going on. Your work is to mark a correct shot through different experiments. You can solve your problems by spreading love to get everything done. Keep in mind that you need power for destruction or doing something harmful. But it only gives birth to the hatred, enemies, and loss. As a result, only tension increases rather than the promotion of peace and affection. During your peace finding struggle, try to avoid issues, cut them down to size, address the underlying problem, cope with it, and try again. Remember, ever tried ever failed, try again, fail better.
